Barrister (Dr.) Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR - Chairman

Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim attended Obafemi Awolowo University where he obtained the Bachelor of Law Degree and subsequently the Masters Degree in Public Administration with distinction. Thereafter, he attended the prestigious Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA and obtained a combined Masters Degree in Law and International Tax. He was called to the Nigerian Bar as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.Barrister Jimoh has deep experience in tax administration,tax reform and financial management. At one time he served as Chief Executive Consultant to the Federal Government of Nigeria on Petroleum Tax Payment, Collection and Monitoring; Member, Federation Accounts Allocation Committee; and Chairman, Special Committee of the Federation Accounts. At another time, he was Consultant to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tax Reform in Croatia and Lithuanian; Consultant to the Federal Government of Nigeria on Value Added Tax; a key member of the team that designed tax reform for the state of Bangladesh; Head of the Nigerian delegation to the United Nations Conference on ‘Governance and Public Administration’ held in Hong-Kong 1994.

Dr. Amos Akingba holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Masters degree from London University, England and Leeds University, England respectively. He also has a Ph.D from Cornell University, New York, United States Dr. Akingba’s broad based professional and academic background has prompted his research work in various areas in educational philosophy and social sciences. He has industry experience of over 36 years spanning university lecturing, training, human resources, investment and management consulting. He is on the board of Nigeria-Re, the largest re-insurance company in Nigeria as the Chairman and over the years has been on the boards of many companies.

Mr. Folowosele has over two decades experience that spans banking, accounting and tax practice. He began his career as a Trainee Assistant Manager with Z.O Ososanya & Co (in Nigeria) after which he moved to Midas Merchant Bank Limited. He had working opportunity with the World Bank as Transaction Manager which aided him to oversee and complete a wide variety of privatization of the following Nigerian enterprises; NICON Insurance, Nigeria Re-insurance, National Theatre, Lagos International Trade Fair Complex and Tafawa Balewa Square. Adewale is a Lead Consultant with ATF Consulting Limited. He has proven leadership skills, strong bias for entrepreneurship and a commitment to the ideals of good corporate governance. He is a Biochemistry graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,Nigeria. An Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, he has a Certificate in Business Improvement Process Manchester, England, a Certificate in Privatization: Experience and Practice, Accra Ghana, and one onChallenges of Globalization Boston, USA.

Mr. Aderemi is a multi-jurisdictional barrister practicing both in the United Kingdom and with a thriving practice in Nigeria. Since his call to the Bar, Mr. Aderemi has developed a deserving reputation within commercial Law (including cases such as NOGA and some other reputed cases) and serious Crime. His diverse range of skills has earned him high regards in global migration and Human Rights Law, and he is regularly consulted on Matrimony Law within Nigeria and the United Kingdom. His experience has led to providing expert advice to the Attorney General of Nigeria within family and divorce cases and has been consulted in the past by Bar Council as authority on such cases.

Alhaji Baba Kamara is the current Ghana High Commissioner/Ambassador to Nigeria with concurrent affiliation to the Republics of Cameroon, Chad and Sao Tome & Principe He holds Certificate in Administration Management (1986), Certificate in Senior Management and Development (1987) Certificate in Good Corporate Governance (2005) and Executive Masters Degree in Governance and Leadership (2001) all of the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA). He also holds Certificate in International Relations from the University of East Angilia, Norwich, England in 2003. He is the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Kamara Limited (1981-2009), African Trans Bridging Limited (2003-2009). He is presently Ghana’s High Commissioner/Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Cameroon, Republic of Chad and Sao Tome & Principe (2009 to date).He is Ghana’s Permanent Representative to the ECOWAS Commission (2009 to date).

Mr. Jegede, a versatile insurance expert, oversees the overall operations of NICON Insurance PLC as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer. He is a holder of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is an Associate Member of both the Nigerian and London Chartered Insurance Institutes. Mr. Jegede is well versed in Insurance Broking and Underwriting. Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director/CEO of NICON Insurance Plc, Mr. Jegede had worked in various organizations including Glanvill Enthoven & Co (Incorporated Insurance Brokers) and Colenson Brokers Nigeria Ltd., where he rose to the enviable position of Executive Director. Mr. Jegede has over 18 years post qualification experience in insurance and has attended many courses and trainings in insurance, investment and leadership both within and outside Nigeria.

Mr. David Adom obtained a Bachelors degree from the University of Ghana in 1971. Mr Adom has over two decades experience that spans Accounting and Tax Practice. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICA Ghana). Mr Adom served as an Audit Trainee with Coopers and Lybrand Ghana from 1972-1981. He moved to join I.E UBOH & CO an accounting firm as a Resident Auditor Manager from May 1981-1996. He was appointed a Deputy Commissioner for the Ghana Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a position he held from 1991-2001. From 2001 to date he served as the Managing Director for AA & Consulting Services Limited.

Christiana Ekaete Olaoye is the Managing Director/CEO of Energy Commercial Bank Limited. She joined Energy Commercial Bank in April 2016 with over 30 years of post - qualification banking experience spanning various banking organizations in Nigeria and overseas. She holds a Bachelor of Art in Language, an MBA in Banking & Finance, and has attended courses and programs at top business schools around the world. Mrs Olaoye started her banking career in November 1983, gaining experience in various areas that cut across corporate and commercial banking, corporate finance, credit origination and management, loan syndications, import and export trade finance, domestic and foreign operations, liability and asset management, private banking and wealth management as well as relationship management. She started her career as an Executive Trainee at IMB (Nigeria) Limited, and rose through the ranks to become the Executive Director, Business Development at FBN Bank (UK) Limited. In her last role at First Bank of Nigeria limited, she headed the International Banking Department, and was one of the key persons responsible for the establishment of the African subsidiaries in Ghana, Gambia, Senegal, Sierra Leone and the democratic Republic of Congo. Christiana has had over 15 years of senior management experience working across countries and teams in sub-Saharan Africa, the United Kingdom, France, China, South Africa and the UAE, and building partnerships for strategic growth. Christiana is multi-lingual, speaking English and French, and more than one of the many Nigerian Languages. She is married with children, and passionate about the development of women, and the ministry of the Gospel through music.

Isaac Shedowo is the Executive Director of Energy Commercial Bank Limited. Prior to his appointment as the Executive Director in March 2016, He was the Acting Managing Director/CEO of Energy Commercial Bank from September 2015 to March 2016. He joined the Bank as the Deputy General Manager - Risk Management, Operations, Information Technology and Customer Loyalty where he had exercised strong leadership roles in risk portfolio management, operations, customer loyalty, strategic planning and information technology within the Bank. He joined Energy Commercial Bank on 18th September, 2012 from United Bank for Africa (Nigeria) Plc where he was the Principal Manager and served as Regional Director (Relief) and exercised leadership over the branches in the region. He has had Banking and Senior Management experience in various capacities with Union Bank, Spring Bank now Heritage Bank and United Bank of Africa in Nigeria. He holds HND in Banking and Finance from Federal Polytechnic Bida, Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from University of Ado Ekiti now Ekiti State University. He is an Associate Member of National Institute of Marketing Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Management, The Institute of Chartered Economist of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria.
